TrUBEX®

Tube system represents one of the most modern technologies used in telecommunication, especially for construction of optical access and metropolitan area networks. Due to the TrUBEX® system it is possible to construct a high amount of optical paths (independent on each other) leading up to the end-user. Microcables are consequently blown into the path according to the current need of the end-user, resulting in high flexibility and financial savings during network constructions.

Advantages:

- they afford protection of installed cables

- they enable an easy changeover of cables without supplementary ground works

- streamlining of network constructions

- easy connecting of tubes due to joints

- printing containing the length improves the review during laying

- colourful variations of tubes enable differentiation during laying of more tubes in one line

- pressure resistance

- heat resistance (sufficient mechanical properties)

- long service life

- resistance to wet, unfavourable weather

Marking:

- Numerals post literal designation express: N x Y (N – tube number) x Y (tube diameter)

- /-/ - for supplementary and modifying information, e.g. colour change of microtube, microtube or sheath extent change, TrUBEX® label change

Microtubes:

Microtubes are produced in a natural design for easier verification of the presence of the optical cable. In case of usage of more tubes in a system the tubes are supplied with numeral marking, the pitch max. 10 cm for better identification or in a colourful design according to the customer’s request. Standardly we can offer 12 shades, more of them is possible to supply according to customer’s request.

Outer tube diameter in mm / inner tube diameter in mm / tolerance of outer diameter in mm / minimum inner diameter in mm / minimum body thickness in mm:

3/3,2 /± 0,1/2,0/0,35
5/3,5/± 0,1/3,4/0,65
7/5,5/± 0,1/5,4/0,65
10/8/± 0,1/7,9/0,9
12/10/± 0,1/9,9/0,9

Tubes are constructed for inner overpressure during blowing (2h in 23°C + - 1°C) for 12 bars.
Thermal shrinkage is up to 3% , slipperiness 0,1.
Tubes are constructed so that the inner surface enables optimal blowing of optical fibres on maximum possible length. This length depends on  the ruggedness and intensity of the terrain in which the system is located.

All the extensions of the tubes fulfill minimum bending radius that is equal to ten times the amount of the diameter.

Minimum bending radius of the TrUBEX® system during laying:
10x total diameter at design system /I/-/
15x total diameter at design system /WB/-/
18x total diameter at design system /MWB/-/

Laying and storage:

System manipulation and laying is possible to realize in surrounding temperature range of - 10°C up to + 50°C. The material can crack during manipulation at lower temperatures. These temperatures are limiting for the system transport as well. During tube laying it is necessary to be particular in maximum possible arrangement of the tube in the longitudinal axis. Eventual corrugation limits the reach of cable blowing and makes the correct installation of the tube joints impossible. Inner tube bodies have to be kept in pure and dry conditions during installation.

The rolls are wrapped by PE tape against loosening and the tube terminations are equipped with caps against inner soiling of the tube.

The rolls can be stored in free consolidated space for a maximum 12 months from the date of manufacture.  In this case, it is necessary to protect the colour markings from UV radiation by black foil.

Loading, unloading and other manipulation with the system have to be realized by appropriate mechanisms so that no system damage occurs. The TrUBEX® system is supplied from the production plant on cable drums or in circles.

TrUBEX®  HFFR:

TrUBEX®  HFFR is a tube system of distributions for blowing of optical cables.

Development and production is initiated by public notice Nr. 23/2008 Coll.

It fully complies with the direction of the  company Dopravní podnik a.s. Nr. 9/2009 – Principles of the fire safety for projecting and construction of Prague underground. Higher demands on fire resistance were solved by sandwich system from specially developed HFFR material, supplemented with fireproof barrier.

Complete fireproof halogen-free assembly that is offered by Kabelovna Kabex® is constituted with TrUBEX® HFFR together with HFFR cables OPTEX® and with sets for tube connecting.

Above-mentioned norms are met only by complete assembly from the production of Kabelovna Kabex®. The assembly is certified by respective test-stations (EZÚ, Pavus) and have issued Approval certificates of the company Dopravní podnik Praha. Empty system TrUBEX® HFFR before installation meets the above-mentioned norms as well. TrUBEX® HFFR system is intended mainly for tunnel constructions and for the premises with higher requirement on fire safety:

- operating temperature: - 40°C - +70°C
- inner overpressure for blowing: 12 bar (testing overpressure: 20 bar)
- bending radius – twentyfold of ……… tube diameter
- service life: minimum 30 years

Higher fire resistance is classified by these requirements that result from ČSN and EN norms for cables:

- conductivity of combustion gases < 2,5μS/mm and pH > 4,3 according to ČSN EN 50267-2-3
- smoke opacity factor ≥ 80% according to ČSN EN 61034-2
- resistance to vertical spread of flame according to ČSN EN 50266-2-2 (category A)

- enhanced fire resistance (low smoke emission during burning, low corrosivity of waste products, no spread of flame)

Marking:

1. Designation - TrUBEX®  HFFR – it has to be stated always

2. Extension – numerals post literal designation express outer / inner diameter of the base HFFR installation tube

3. Additional information

Base HFFR installation tubes

- they are supplied in extensions 40/33 mm, 32/27 mm, 40/34 mm

- standardly with smooth inner surface, on the customer’s request with inner slotting

- maximum deviation from the extension ±0,5mm

- resistance to inner overpressure during blowing at 23°C 2 Mpa during 1 hour

The tubes are constucted so that the inner surface enables optimal blowing of optical cables at maximum possible length. This length depends on the ruggedness and intensity of the terrain in which the system is located.

Advantages of TrUBEX®  HFFR system:

- the protection of installed optical cables

- the easy changeover of cables without supplementary ground works

- the possibility of empty system installation with the possibility of additional cable installation

Laying and storage:

System manipulation and laying is possible to realize in surrounding temperature range of - 20°C + 55°C. The material can crack during manipulation at lower temperatures. These temperatures are limiting for the system transport as well.

During tube laying it is necessary to be particular in maximum possible arrangement of the tube in the longitudinal axis. Eventual corrugation limits the reach of cable blowing and makes correct installation of the tube joints impossible.

Inner tube bodies have to be kept in pure and dry conditions during installation.

Tensile strength 5000 N and 1000 N in the bend of tube can not be exceeded.

The tubes are supplied in rolls, the bending radius can not exceed the twentyfold of system diameter. It is valid for storage during eventual rewind of the tube as well.

The rolls are wrapped by PE tape against loosening and the tube terminations are equipped with stoppers against inner soiling of the tube.

The rolls can be stored in free consolidated space for a maximum 12 months from the date of manufacture.  In this case, it is necessary to protect the colour markings from UV radiation by a black foil.

Loading, unloading and other manipulation with the system have to be realized by appropriate mechanisms so that no system damage occurs.

Kabelovna Kabex® supplies the complete system together with certified cables and HFFR joints.
