Optical cable – halogen-free, fire retardant, with tight secondary protection of fibre

Construction:

1. Fibres                                             optical fibres with primary protection, secondary tight protection of fibre (does not contain gel)

2. Construction                                  central tensile element, tubes are stranded around central element, bedding of missing fibres by bedding element, layer of water-blocking glass fibres, wrapping of the cable core by water-blocking tape

3. Sheath                                            fire retardant halogen-free polymer compound       

4. Variants, the number of fibres       2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 24

                                                           a variant with a winding yarn under a sheath

Surrounding temperatures (fixed placement):           - 30°C up to + 70°C

Surrounding temperatures (during installation):       -5°C up to +50°C

Colour marking of fibers 1-12 according to IEC 60304:      red, green, blue, yellow, white, grey, brown, violet, turquoise, orange, black, pink

Usage:

The cables are used for transmission of optical signals for indoor and outdoor environment, they are suited to vertical suspension e.g. in maintenance holes (do not contain gel). The cables are used for the environment where is insisted on personal protection, on the protection of equipments, constructions and of materials (e.g. in public spaces, shopping malls, in hospitals, hotels or in tunnel constructions).

The cables can be placed in the environment with the explosion danger (zone 1, 2) providing compliances with the conditions of intrinsic safety according to IEC 60079-11.
