Cable inlet seal type Salnik (ZKP-S) (18.5.2021 )

The new product is a non-hermetic (means not a long-term hermetic against pressure) sealing of the passage of cables through the wall. Cables, their bundles, carbon or stainless steel pipes etc. can be placed in this passage.

Cable inlet seal for nuclear power plants

The seal is bilaterally resistant to fire EI90 and pressure 0.6 MPa and short-term 1.1 MPa.
With fire resistance EI 90 min according to ČSN 73 0821 ed.2 with increased resistance to flame propagation according to ČSN EN 60332-3-10, ČSN EN 60332-3-21, halogen-free, with low density of smoke developed during combustion according to ČSN EN 61034 -2 and low acidity of gases during combustion according to ČSN EN 60754-2, seismically resistant 8° MSK 64 according to ČSN IEC 980, meeting the requirements for nuclear energy according to ČSN IEC 60780 and meeting the requirements for equipment classified according to ČSN EN 61226 in category "A".

The main advantages of the technical solution include in the case of already installed components in the penetration (eg cables, cable harnesses, pipes, etc.) the possibility of installing the seal without the need to dismantle the cables (we use eg halved flanges, heat-shrinkable tubes, etc.).

Another big advantage of Salnik is that our technical solution is also suitable for sealing optical and coaxial cables, which are not stressed by pressure at the sealing points.
